Neddlecraft from the '70s

Found some great new books this weekend published in the '70s, both on needlecarft.  The Good Housekeeping book pictured is a 511 paged, how to do everything from knitting to embroidery, patchwork quilting to macrame.

The 'Florentine work' is inspiring me today.  Very Missoni like.

The knitting section of the book made me smile, pictured lastly is a great example of a man with a scarf erection.  A decade that fashion forgot?

POLISH WYCINANKI

PUBLISHED 1976
I found this book in a junk shop somewhere. It inspired me in the creation of my giraffe print, used in the Emse & Esme summer collection.  And the polar bear print I created for Winter.

It opened up to me the world of Polish Wycinanki, something I knew nothing about, thats why rooting through old books in junk shops is worth while!
